Kawashimaya is the best Gyukatsu restaurant in Yokohama central but not yet known to Non-Japanese visitors because it is a new. The beef is tender, juicy, crunchy but Not oily.

Japanese Beef cutlet set

Gyukatsu with boiled barley and rice 1,290yen

The location is very close to Kannai station(JR Line), just a minute walking distance from the North Exit.(Please see a map on the bottom of this page.)

When you are served the beef cutlet on the plate is still rare as it has been flied only for 60 seconds. You can bake it on your stone grill as savory of your preference.
This style was developed because Japanese always have their own tastes when it comes to beef.

They have 4 kinds of Gyukatsu set.

Menu(Tax excluded)
1.Gyukatsu Mugimeshi Gozen, 1,290 yen
(Beef cutlet with boiled barley and rice)

2.Gyukatsu Tororo Mugimeshi Gozen,1,420 yen
   (Beef cutlet with grated yam paste)

3.Gyukatsu Mugimeshi Demitama Gozen, 1,540 yen
   (Beefcutlet with boiled barley and rice, half boiled egg, with demiglace sauce)

4.Gyukatsu Mugimeshi Sukitama Gozen,1,540yen
(Beef cutlet with boiled barley and rice, egg and leeks with Sukiyaki sauce)

Miso soup, sliced cabbage, potato salada, Japanese pickles, boiled barley and rice are included.

Free for another bowl of rice. Please just tell them "Gohan Okawari, please."

They provide a variety of original seasonings with the cutlet. 2 types of original Dashi-sauces, redwine-sauce, Yukari(red shiso-herb), Himalayan rock salt, wasabi and freshly ground sesame.

Staff are friendly and young. They might speak broken English(Unsure).
