What to Eat and Tips in Kadohei
Mix Tsuketen(Noodle, Shrimp and Kakiage Tempra)
Kadohei is a famous Japanese handmade noodle restaurant as the origin of "Tsuketen Soba Style", established in 1950.
In the Tsuketen style hot soy-based soup and noodles are separately served with Tempura so that You can enjoy more crispy Tempura and firm noodles comparing with ordinal Japanese noodles.

After you eat Soba, you add Sobayu into the soy-based sauce and enjoy like soup. Sobayu is hot water that the noodles were boiled in, and is murky white.
Original Katsudon (Pork Cutlet on Rice)

Original "Katsudon" is also one of best choices in Kadohei. The thickness of the pork is about 3 centimeters and their original sauce is very addictive.
Katsudon is a bowl of rice topped with slices of deep-fried pork, beaten egg, and slices of onions cooked in a sweet soy sauce based broth.
Try this heavy and filling pork with their special sauce, you will love it for the rest of your life.

- When you get to Kadohei, write your name on the waiting list at the entrance.
- Mostly there is a waiting queue for lunch and it takes 15-30 mins to be called.
- If you are a large group reservation is preferable to avoid unnecessary waiting.
- 150 yen is added for big Soba portion.
- Please note that separate bills and credit cards are not acceptable, cash only.
- Tax is included in the price.

Historical Episodes
An episode is well known about Shigeru Yoshida's frequent visits to Kadohei on the way home from the Houses of Parliament. He is a former Prime Minister of Japan.
